The children enjoyed their trip to R.R.O. They were able to play on the playground, take a tour through the school, hear a story in the library, and have a snack in the cafeteria.
White lake Rocks
The children found some painted rocks on our playground. These rocks were part of the White Lake Rocks project. So, we decided to make our own rocks.
Creation Station
I have a very creative group of children. They love to draw and make items. They really enjoyed this station that had lots of different materials, and they could make whatever they wanted at what we called: The Creation Station!

St. Patrick's Day
This year we tried out the Hat Legend. We decorated cups and left them for the Leprechaun. He found them and magically turned the cups into little Leprechaun hats and left some goodies -- tattoo, bracelet, gold chocolate coin, rainbow ribbon candy, and a Rolo. He was so excited to turn the cups into hats that he forgot to mess up our room!

Day 30 -- Queen of 10
The Queen of 10 came to visit us to celebrate Day 30! As always, she read us a fun counting book, and she had a game for us to play that worked on numbers and counting. Plus, we used yummy M&Ms as counters and bingo chips. We can't wait to see her again in another 10 days!
Alphapalooza
We finished up our 26 Day Letter Introduction. We said good-bye to Apples and Bernie. Sadly, they are heading back to the farm. We tried to teach them the letters and sounds, but they just need more time. So, they will be coming back next year! We had so much fun seeing them every day. We will miss them, but we know they will love the farm!
September Math Stations
Each day, the children participate in math stations after the focus math lesson. Here is a peek inside stations for September.
Applepalooza
We had an Applepalooza day to end our Apple theme. We made applesauce and apple glyphs. We acted out a finger play Five Little Apples. And, we made Johnny Appleseed!
Day 20 - The Queen of 10!!
The Queen of Ten left NumberLand and came to our classroom for a visit on Day 20. She introduced her favorite math tool to organize her count...the ten frame. She also brought jellybeans for the children to count using the ten frames.
